NOTICE OF RACE
Wente Cup 2010

International Optimist Dinghy (Green – very limited regatta experience) (White Fleet: 8 through 10 years) (Blue Fleet: 11 through 12 years) (Red Fleet: 13 through 15 years)
Prams (Maybe – if we get enough interest)
Rules: The Wente Cup Regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), NOR, and SI’s.
Registration and Entry: Please have entries in by Thursday, July 22h by 4:30pm. Please register promptly! Entries will be accepted at time of registration. Use the attached form for registration. Please call on your intention of this regatta by Monday, July 19th. Contact Zac Hernandez/Tayler Crimaldi at (847) 251-1110.
Fees: Entry fee is $60 per competitor for all classes. Fee includes light breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday, as well as a sweet t-shirt (if you register by Monday, July 19th). Make checks payable to Sheridan Shore Sailing School.
Schedule of Events: Friday, July 23rd - Call Tayler to setup a boat and trailer drop off
Saturday, July 24th 8-8:45 a.m.: Registration and boat set up.
9:00 a.m. Competitor’s meeting
10:15 – 1st Start, Lunch on water if possible
No races will be started after 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, July 25th 9:45 a.m. - 1st start.
No races will be started after 1:00 p.m.
Racing Area: The Racing Area will be the water of Lake Michigan directly off of the Sheridan Shore Yacht Club.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded as follows:
a) To each member of the crews placing first, second and third in each class in the regatta.
b) Optimist/Laser class prizes will also be awarded in each of the Red, Blue, and White fleets according to the following schedule: 1-3 Boats in Fleet: 1 prize, 4-5 Boats in fleet: 2 prizes, 6 or more Boats in fleet: 3 prizes, Green fleet: 1 prize
